HOW TO: Get Android Emulator

This is how to get the Android Emulator for all versions. It will run slow.


1. Go to this site and get the Android SDK.
http://developer.android.com/sdk/index.html
2. Go to this link and get the Java JDK. http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javase/downloads/index.html
3. Open Run and type in "regedit". Then open this key. HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\JavaSoft\Java Development Kit.
4. Right-click the Java Development Kit key part and click Export. Make sure you save it as a .reg file. Name it JDK.reg.
5. Add Wow6432Node after Software in the JDK paths.
6. Start the SDK installer. Make sure you checked "Start SDK now".
7. Make sure you check the Tools folder. Also check your Android OS version.
8. Go to Program Files (Program Files (x86) if you are on 64-bit Windows) and click on Android and then
android-sdk. Click on AVD Manager.
8. Click "New" and name the device your Android version. Make sure your Android version is selected in the "Target" list.

How To: Load a Smart Bro Pocket WiFi Device

This is how to load a Smart Bro WiFi device. It can be the Rocket WiFi device or the Pocket WiFi device. Let's get started!

What you need:
2 Phones
Pocket WiFi Device/Rocket WiFi Device
A Smart Buddy SIM card
Load Card
1. Power off both phones and put in the broadband SIM card in one, Smart SIM card in the other.
2. Turn the phones back on and scratch the code's protective ink.
3. Send a message to the SMART Buddy phone. The sender number is your SMART Bro Prepaid Number.
4. Send the information to the number 1510 as marked on the card with the SMART Buddy phone.
5. Loaded Up!
Do not copy the + in the Prepaid Number in Step 3.


 

Windows 8 RTM

You can download the Windows 8 RTM now. (MSDN subscribers ONLY!) You can find out more about it and how to install it on the Win 8 Software Lab. It's our center of Windows 8 content. The original idea of creating a racing game app was entirely scrapped for Now Showing Manila's development. Now Showing Manila is a app that has content from Juice.ph and it's a movie tracker app. We will be making a mobile version soon too.

It has:
Maps to theaters
All recent movies and more
Really big customization

Watch out because our app is nearing deployment!
